Acting Prime Minister Prakashman Singh calls all-party meeting

Kathmandu: Acting Prime Minister Prakashman Singh has called an all-party meeting today at 1:00 PM at the Prime Minister’s Office, Singha Durbar.

The meeting will focus on the recent floods and landslides caused by heavy rains, addressing rescue efforts, property loss, and relief measures.

With the monsoon season underway, many areas across the country have been hit hard by floods and landslides, leading to loss of life and significant damage to infrastructure, including roads and bridges.

The government is actively working to assist affected citizens and is coordinating efforts with the Ministry of Home Affairs to rescue those stranded.

On Saturday, Acting Prime Minister Singh was briefed on the disaster situation by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, security force leaders, and senior government officials.

His office reports that all government resources are mobilized to help families affected by the crisis through the National Emergency Operations Center and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

Minister Singh emphasized that security personnel are working tirelessly on rescue and relief efforts, supported by social service organizations, political parties, civil society, and local communities.

He expressed deep condolences to the victims and called for unity in supporting those impacted.

Meteorologists have advised residents to limit travel as rain is expected to continue.
