More than 76 thousand foreign tourists entered in June


Kathmandu, June 18: In June 2024, 76,736 foreign tourists have entered Nepal. According to the information provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, quoting the Immigration Department, more than 4,000 tourists entered Nepal in June this year compared to June 2023. In June 2023, 72,250 tourists entered Nepal.

Indian tourists are more among the tourists who enter Nepal. Director of Nepal Tourism Board Maniraj Lamichhane informed that 37,835 tourists entered Nepal from India in June. Similarly, 8,281 tourists from America and 7,494 tourists from China entered Nepal in second place.

According to the Tourism Board, 3,857 people came from Bangladesh, 1,969 from the UK, 1,589 from Australia, 1,666 from Bhutan, 1,144 from Malaysia, 953 from Japan and 875 from South Korea.

Before the coronavirus epidemic, in June 2019, 74,883 foreign tourists came to Nepal. Since the beginning of 2024, 583 thousand 16 tourists have entered Nepal.
