CIAA files corruption case against 21 officials of NTA in connection with MDMS procurement

Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 21 persons including the then Chairpersons of Nepal Telecommunications Authority- Digambar Jha and Purushottam Prasad Khanal.

CIAA Spokesperson Narahari Ghimire said the accused embezzled around 920 million rupees in the Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) procurement process.

He added the CIAA filed the charge sheet against the accused ones to recover the misappropriated amount.
