Ilam by-election vote count to start from 11 AM

Ilam: The counting of votes in Ilam Constituency 2 will be held from 11 am today.

An all-party meeting has decided to start the counting from Phakphokthum rural municipality from 7 am.

Election officer Keshav Prasad Ghimire informed that vote counting was a little late as the ballot boxes from remote areas of the constituency arrived late at night.

69,287 (59.79 per cent) of the 1,15,889 voters voted in the by-elections held yesterday in Ilam.

19 candidates from independent and political parties are vying for the post of member of the House of Representatives in Ilam Constituency 2.
