New era begins in digital connectivity: PM Oli

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the country marks the beginning of a new era in the area of digital connectivity in terms of improving citizens’ access to communications facilities.

Addressing the special programme held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar today to unveil the government’s achievements in its first 100 days, the Prime Minister said the ‘Fiber to the Home ( FTTH)’ initiative implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has remained as a significant accomplishment of the government.

Humla, out of 77 districts in the country, lacked access to FTTH.

However, it was launched there a couple of months ago, expanding the broadband internet connectivity to the entire district, according to the Prime Minister.
