Ruling coalition affirms unity and commitment to national interests

October 23, Kathmandu: A meeting of the ruling coalition held on Wednesday morning discussed the government’s progress, current issues, and the importance of unity for national interests.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to democratic principles, the rule of law, and effective public service.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli informed the meeting that he would address the nation regarding the overall achievements of the government’s 100 days at 3 PM on Wednesday from his office at Singha Durbar.

Home Minister  Ramesh Lekhak informed the meeting about ongoing investigations into cooperative fraud and irregularities, including the arrest of former Deputy Prime Minister and Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane.

The coalition agreed to issue statements condemning recent protests during ongoing investigations. They also decided to hold another meeting on October 25 to discuss plans and announce a joint statement.

Prime Minister Oli emphasized the need for unity among coalition parties, reaffirming their commitment to democratic principles and national interests. He warned against anarchy and unwanted activities.

The meeting was attended by leaders from various coalition parties, including the Nepali Congress, CPN(UML) Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, and Janmat Party.
