MoU signed between KIHS Nepal and One Heart Worldwide

Boston (USA): In the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Karnali Institute of Health Sciences (KIHS) of Nepal and One Heart Worldwide, USA to collaborate in maternal and child health sector.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Oli, who arrived in Boston today from New York, USA after attending the 79th UN General Assembly, and addressed an interaction held at Harvard University. According to the MoU, cooperation will be exchanged in rural health fellowship programs to contribute to maternal and child health through the Institute.

The agreement was signed by Dr Christina on behalf of OHW, USA and Dr Mangal Rawal on behalf of KIHS.

Similarly, an agreement has been reached between Dhanyoga Foundation and the KIHS to establish a diabetes center.

Meanwhile, following the interaction on Nepal’s transitional justice process and climate change at John F Kennedy Jr. Forum at Harvard University, Prime Minister Oli interacted with the doctors of the Nepali community and called for their support to help advance Nepal’s health sector as well as to the Healthy Nepal Campaign.

He said that the government is ready to end the situation of brain drain and urged the doctors to return to Nepal if possible and if not serve their motherland from where they are. He sought for support in introducing new research and treatment system in Nepal.
