Memorandum of Rukum West and Rukum East Congress and UML submitted to the Prime Minister


Kathmandu, 11 July: Leaders of Nepali Congress and CPN UML of Rukum-West and Rukum-East districts, the district leaders of both parties, including MPs, drew attention to the fact that most of the people affected by the Jajarkot earthquake have not yet received the grant amount for temporary housing before Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.


The delegation of the district met Prime Minister Oli today at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, and requested him to quickly provide the first and second installments that the government has decided to give to those affected by the earthquake on November 17.


In the memorandum, it is demanded to establish a project office of the National Reconstruction Authority for reconstruction. Similarly, complaints have been made to Prime Minister Oli that during the armed conflict and in various incidents, they were not allowed to experience democracy by keeping political access and legal influence limited to a few people.


UML Politburo Member Khemman Khadka, Congress National Assembly Member Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, UML Parliamentarian Chandra Bahadur Bishwakarma, Congress Former State Minister Gopaljijung Shah, Musikot Municipality Chief Mahendra KC, Rukum-East UML District President Leelamani Gautam, State Member of the Congress Sarita BC, Rukum- West district president of Congress Premprakash Oli, UML district president of the same district Nandaram Devkota and others had participated in the meeting.
