Ministry of Forest and Environment unveils its 100 days achievements

October 22, Kathmandu: The current government has completed its first 100 days in office.

Different ministries have been informing the public about the achievements made during these 100 days.

The Ministry of Forests and Environment has unveiled its achievements made during the 100 days of the current government.

The Ministry says it has prioritized resolving legal obstacles for an expressway connecting Kathmandu and the Terai/Madhes region.

It approved the use of 130 hectares of national forest land for 11 development projects.

Additionally, preparations for the international  UN’s climate change-related conference (COP-29) have been underway, including a national workshop held on the 19th and 20th of October in the Rara Lake area of Mugu.

The Ministry says it is also working on policy reforms, approvals for major projects, and developing guidelines for the sustainable management of valuable medicinal herbs in high Himalayan regions.
