Domestic flights resume at eight airports outside Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Domestic flights will be operated at eight airports outside Kathmandu until 10:00 pm tonight.

The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has decided to resume flights till 10.00 pm. According to the Authority’s spokesperson Gyanendra Bhul, only instrument flight rules (IFR) flights have been resumed at eight airports outside Kathmandu.

Earlier, as the rain subsided, the domestic flight from Tribhuvan International Airport was operated until 6 pm. ‘Flights were resumed only at six airports outside Kathmandu until 6.00 pm. It was decided to allow flights from Kathmandu to all IFR flyable airports after 6.00 pm,’ spokesperson Bhul said.

According to the airport, flights are being operated to Chandragadhi, Biratnagar, Simara, Janakpur, Pokhara, Bhairawa, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi Airports using the IFR method. However, international flights to and from TIA are regular.
