PM assures amendment of constitution to be carried forward with consent of all political parties in Parliament

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for constitutional amendments to address Nepal’s political instability, emphasizing the need for cross-party consensus to ensure long-term stability and inclusive development.

Speaking at the Constitution Day celebration in Tundikhel, Prime Minister Oli vowed to make the constitution more adaptable by removing outdated provisions, while also committing to policies that create jobs, reduce poverty, and promote equal access to essential services.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Oli underscored the need for policy stability and inclusive development to achieve the motto of “prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali.”

Prime Minister Oli stressed the importance of investing in youth and entrepreneurship, ensuring social security, and promoting wage-based dignified employment.

Prime Minister Oli said, that the constitution, reflects the collective will of the people, protecting the rights of marginalized groups and promoting social justice.

Likewise, Prime Minister Oli also called for the strengthening of Nepal’s federal democratic republic, rejecting any return to autocratic rule.

The ceremony was attended by high level national dignitaries and featured cultural performances.
