Landslide blocks Mahakali highway in Baitadi

Baitadi: The Mahakali highway has been obstructed due to a dry landslide at local Salsena Bhir of Dogada Kedar rural municipality-5 this afternoon.

Police Inspector Balram Pandey, the spokesperson of the District Police Office Baitadi, said Passengers and vehicles plying on long and short routes to and from the district have been stranded due to the road blockage.

Pandey said it will take some time to remove the landslide debris deposited on the road due to the sheer size of the disaster. Vehicular movement between Darchula and Baitadi has been disrupted due to the obstruction.
