Minister Sharma praises the role of Gorkhapatra for preserving Nepali culture and journalism

Kathmandu: Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that Gorkhapatra has been an eyewitness of the political period of Nepal and it has played an important role in the preservation and promotion of Nepali language and literature.

In a special ceremony held today in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 124th year of publication of Gorkhapatra and its 62nd anniversary, Minister Sharma said that Gorkhapatra should become a bridge between the government and the people.

Minister Sharma recalled that the day Gorkhapatra was published was the day the foundation was laid in journalism.
