NC leader Paudel passes away

Gandaki, April 12: A Nepali Congress leader Khemraj Paudel passed away on Friday. Paudel, who had been suffering from lung cancer, died while receiving treatment at a local Phewa City Hospital.

The late leader was known as an honest politician having social personality. A resident of Pumdi from Pokhara Metropolitan City-22, Paudel participated in various democratic movements since his student life.

Last rites of the late Paudel would be performed on the Seti River bank on Friday itself. However, before the last rites, the body would be kept at party office for final tribute.

Paudel worked in various capacities in the party. He also became the district chairman of the Nepali Congress (Democratic) led by Sher Bahadur Deuba.

He is survived by wife, two sons and two daughters.
