Sixth Yak Festival in Pachhthar (Photo Feature)

April 15, Kathmandu: The sixth annual Yak Festival was recently held in Phalelung Rural Municipality of Panchhthar, Nepal to promote the conservation and protection of the Himalayan yaks.

The festival showcased over 500 yaks including the ones brought from Bhutan to improve breeding, goods produced from yak milk, meat, and wool, and various cultural and sports activities.

The event was organized by local organizations including the Falelung Kanchenjunga Tourism Promotion Organization and the Kanchenjunga Yak Breeding and Conservation Organization.
