Prakashman Singh Raut appointed as Chief Justice, oath of office ceremony set for today

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Prakashman Singh Raut as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, effective today.

Basant Prasad Panthi, Deputy Spokesperson for the Office of the President, confirmed the appointment, stating it was made on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council according to Article 129 of the Constitution.

Chief Justice Raut is set to take his oath of office later today.
