Public holiday at local levels to mourn death of Kirtipur mayor

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Valley Mayors’ Forum has announced a public holiday for Sunday on the demise of Kirtipur municipality mayor, Raj Kumar Nakarmi.

The Mayors’ Forum decided a public holiday coming Sunday at all local levels in the Kathmandu Valley to mourn Nakarmi’s demise.

It was mentioned in a statement issued by the Forum on Friday that a public holiday would be in effect at all local levels of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts on the passing away of Kirtipur mayor Nakami.

Nakarmi was born on Asar 20, 2021 BS. He is known as a development-loving social worker. He was elected to the post as a Nepali Congress candidate in the local election of 2079 BS.
