President Ram Chandra Paudel to address joint meeting of Federal Parliament today

May 19, Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to deliver an address on Friday in a joint meeting of both houses of the federal parliament.

The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament has officially announced that the address will take place at the prestigious Federal Parliament Building in Nayabaneshwar, with the proceedings commencing at 4 pm local time.

This momentous occasion marks President Paudel’s first speech within the Federal Parliament since his election to the post.

The primary objective of this joint meeting is to present the annual policies and programs of the government to the federal parliament for discussion and passage.

With a multitude of distinguished attendees, including political party leaders, heads and representatives of constitutional bodies, high-ranking government officials, heads of diplomatic missions in Nepal, and eminent figures from various sectors of society, the event is poised to witness a gathering of influential personalities.

Following the joint meeting, separate meetings of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly will be held on Frday itself, signifying the continuation of parliamentary proceedings beyond the President’s address.
