Cooperatives crucial to make economy dynamic: Province Chief Khapung

January 12, Kathmandu: The Chief of Province-1, Parshuram Khapung, has said the role of cooperative is significant to make the country’s economy dynamic.

At the 11th general assembly of Media Persons Cooperatives organised here on Wednesday, Province Chief Khapung awarded three best creditors and depositors.

On the occasion, he expressed the view that cooperatives had helped in resolving unemployment problems by protecting small capital and developing society.

The Province Chief lauded the initiative of the journalists to run cooperatives. Cooperatives Chairperson Mohan Prasad Bhandari, Province-1 Chairperson of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Leela Ballav Ghimire, among others said a journalist security fund would be established in future. The cooperative was established in 2069 BS and has 116 members.
