President assigns responsibility of Acting Prime Minister to Deputy Prime Minister Prakashman Singh

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has given the responsibility of Acting Prime Minister to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh to oversee the daily administrative functions of the Prime Minister during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s absence.

Prime Minister Oli departed for the United States today to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Office of the President has stated that following the constitutional guidelines of Nepal, President Paudel made this appointment based on the recommendation from Prime Minister Oli.
