Ruling coalition strengthens NC: President Deuba

Lalitpur: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the ruling coalition would further reinforce NC. He made it clear that the time has come for NC to work together with all sides to deal with national affairs.

President Deuba was saying it during a programme organized for the people’s representatives at the local level where the NC had led. The coalition was built based on the aspirations and wants of the party leaders and cadres.

He ruled out the rumour that small parties would be abolished once the big parties came together for government. “Neither NC nor the UML has such view of suppressing fringe parties,” Deuba reiterated.

The government will run as per consensus. PM Oli will clear off after two years of his office, he reminded.

On the occasion, Vice President Dhanraj Gurung said the ruling coalition was for strengthening national politics and economy.

General Secretary Gagan Thapa said the issues between the party and people’s representatives from the party could be sorted out through dialogue.
