Performance contracts signed between PM and Ministers

Monitoring and evaluation of the performance to be carried out as per set objectives in the contract

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has signed performance contracts with the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers outlining objectives along with a timeline for the current fiscal year.

The performance contracts were signed and exchanged during a programme held at PM’s Office, Singh Durbar today.

The performance contract was prepared and signed in a bid to realize the national ambition of ‘Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepalis’ by delivering public services and speeding up infrastructure development.

The bond has set the timelines of the first 100 days, proposed activities and expected results; and the second 100 days and remaining time with similar works and objectives.

With this, the ministers will have similar bonds with secretaries. PM Oli had launched such a scheme in his previous term.

Monitoring and evaluation of the performance would be carried out as per set objectives in the contract.

Similarly, the Chief Secretary also signed the contract before the Prime Minister.
