Radio Nepal has been pivotal in strengthening national independence, integrity, and inclusiveness: Communication Secretary Aryal
Kathmandu: Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Radhika Aryal, has underscored the critical role of Radio Nepal in connecting the government with the public.
Secretary Aryal’s remark comes during a certificate distribution ceremony to newly appointed employees of Radio Nepal in Singha Durbar today.
Secretary Aryal, who is also the chairman of Radio Nepal’s board of directors, emphasized that the national broadcaster has been pivotal in strengthening national independence, integrity, and inclusiveness.
Addressing the newly appointed employees at the completion of their five-day orientation training, Secretary Aryal highlighted Radio Nepal’s essential contributions during significant events such as the earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic. She stressed that these contributions underscore Radio Nepal’s ongoing relevance.
She also called for increased efforts to enhance business operations and professionalism within the organization, expressing her commitment to supporting Radio Nepal’s improvement.
Khagendra Khatri, Acting Executive Director of Radio Nepal, voiced confidence in the positive impact of new collective practices and the enthusiasm of the new employees. He believes these factors will drive the broadcaster’s progress.
Deputy Executive Director Krishnachandra Poudel reaffirmed Radio Nepal’s dedication to its role as a public broadcasting service.
Meanwhile, Manoj Chowdhury, Head and Director of the Economic Administration Division, encouraged the new recruits to demonstrate their skills in broadcasting and contribute effectively to the organization.
The orientation program was conducted for recent appointees recommended by the Public Service Commission, marking a new chapter in their careers with Radio Nepal.
