Central Bank announces Monetary Policy for 2023-24

Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2023-2024.

The new policy includes a reduction in the bank rate and deposit collection rate.

Chairperson of the Board of Directors and 17th Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari, stated that the policy aims to boost the economy while considering price stability and external conditions.

Mr Adhikari also mentioned that the policy focuses on maintaining financial stability, encouraging loans to productive sectors, and improving credit quality.
