Swiss Ambassador Meuwly calls on Vice President Yadav

July 26, Kathmandu: Dr. Danielle Meuwly, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, called on Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav on Thursday at the Vice President’s office in Lanchaur.

The meeting covered various aspects of the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Switzerland, including development cooperation, investment, trade, and tourism, according to the Vice President’s secretariat.

Vice President Yadav emphasized the long-standing friendly and cordial relations between Nepal and Switzerland, which were established in 1956.

He highlighted the importance of high-level visits and dialogues, development cooperation, and people-to-people relations as key pillars of this relationship.

Vice President Yadav also expressed hope for continued Swiss support in Nepal’s development, particularly as the country prepares to graduate from least developed country status by 2026.

Ambassador Meuwly reaffirmed Switzerland’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s federal system and its development goals. She expressed Switzerland’s readiness to bring Swiss investors to Nepal and assist in the country’s development efforts​.
