Israeli Ambassador Goder pays courtesy call on Minister Dr Deuba

July 25, Kathmandu: Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba on Wednesday. The meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs centred on various aspects of Nepal-Israel relations and mutual concerns.

Minister Dr Deuba and Ambassador Goder engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing the bilateral ties between Israel and Nepal.

 They reviewed the progress of ongoing cooperative projects and explored new opportunities for collaboration in areas such as employment, agriculture, technology, education, and healthcare, according to Dr Deuba’s secretariat.

Minister Dr Deuba conveyed her appreciation for Israel’s support and emphasized the significance of deepening the partnership to foster mutual growth and development.

The Israeli Ambassador congratulated Minister Dr Deuba and wished for her successful tenure.

The Minister and The Israeli Ambassador wished for the safe release of Bipin Joshi, who was taken hostage by the terrorist group Hamas in the October 7 attack on Israel.

The Israeli Ambassador also presented Minister Dr Deuba with a painting of Joshi made by an Israeli artist as an act of solidarity.

Both dignitaries reiterated their dedication to working closely together to achieve common objectives and enhance the welfare of their citizens.
