Labour Minister Aryal stresses ensuring safe foreign employment

Kathmandu: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Dol Prasad Aryal has called for a halt to sending people for foreign employment on individual labour permits and visit VISA.

Inaugurating the 30th AGM of Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies today, Minister Aryal urged all to be alert to stop irregularities in visit visas and individual work permits in foreign employment. He noted that foreign employment recruitment agencies were reportedly found involved in such activities.

Aryal further shared that he was working to bring in remittance via legal channels as 201.60 million rupees were found to have been sent via an illegal channel from foreign employment.

Similarly, Association chair Rajendra Bhandari stressed that foreign employment service charges should be made scientific and foreign employment to Israel, Japan and Korea should be made open to private recruitment agencies as well.
