Task Force formed to finalize Transitional Justice Bill

The meeting of the major leaders from the three leading political parties has formed a task force of facilitators to finalize the Transitional Justice Bill.

All three political parties have given the names of their members for the task force in the meeting held on Sunday evening. The task force will discuss all the amendments necessary to finalize the bill.

The facilitating task force includes Ramesh Lekhak from the Nepali Congress, Mahesh Bartaula from CPN (UML) and Janardan Sharma from CPN (Maoist).

Member of the task force and Chief Whip of CPN (UML) Mahesh Bartaula acknowledged that the discussion will be done by the task force members on all the previously disagreed points of the bill and facilitate finalisation.

The meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Residence Baluwatar on Friday between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of CPN (UML) K.P. Sharma Oli decided to form the facilitating task force for the finalization of the Transitional Justice Bill.
