Increase Production in country and employment generation foremost priority: Minister Shrestha

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha said that the country’s transformation in the social and economic sectors to increase production in the country and create employment opportunities is the major priority of the government.

Addressing the “Youth Leadership Summit-2024” organized by the National Youth Council and Youth NGO Federation Minister Shrestha said that citizens leaving the country for fulfilling minimum necessities must end soon for which the upcoming fiscal year’s budget has plans to create employment opportunities.

Minister Shrestha also said that though the country has not been able to achieve as expected in the economic sector, one should acknowledge the pride of history-making and also feel positive to correct the mistakes and move forward.

Similarly, Dr. Toshima Karki from the Rastriya Swatantra Party said that Nepal’s Political parties are capable of making the country economically strong. However, there are challenges which can be mitigated and changed into opportunities.

DPM Shrestha also felicitated different organizations that have been working to enhance the capacity, skills and leadership qualities of the youths.
