Gandaki Province government announces program to highlight Pokhara as the tourism capital.

Gandaki: The Government of Gandaki Province has announced the ‘ Pokhara Jawou, Prakriti ra Sanskriti sanga ramawou’ program, highlighting Pokhara as the tourism capital.

Gandaki Province Chief, Dilliraj Bhatt, presented this initiative in the 2024-2025 policy and program.

The program aims to boost domestic tourism by identifying new destinations, diversifying tourist products, and developing infrastructure.

Plans include creating alternative footpaths, promoting mountain climbing, and enhancing tourist facilities.

A public-private partnership will focus on building tourism infrastructure, branding, and promoting tourism nationally and internationally.

The program will link tourism to local production and employment through fairs, exhibitions, and cultural events.
