Senior Citizen Allowance initiated by Manmohan Adhikari sets example in South Asia: Former President Bhandari

Kathmandu: 25th Memorial Day of Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (UML) Manmohan Adhikari is being observed today organizing various programs.

On the occasion of the program organized by Manmohan Smriti Pratisthan today at Sanepa, former president Bidhya Devi Bhandari addressed the program saying that the senior citizen’s allowance program initiated by late Manmohan Adhikari during his tenure has set an example in the South Asia for social security.

Chairperson of Manmohan Smriti Pratisthan Ishwar Pokharel acknowledged that Late Adhikari had keen interest in education and tecnology sector. Besides, senior citizens are also being honored at times by the pratisthan till date.
