Bagmati Province Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel receives vote of confidence

Kathmandu: Bagmati Province Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel has received a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly.

Chief Minister Jamkattel received 56 votes in his favor while 37 votes were cast against him. Fifteen lawmakers from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party abstained votes.

56 MPs including 21 from the CPN Maoist Center, 27 from the CPN UML, 7 from the CPN Unified Socialist Party, and 1 from the Hamro Nepali Party gave the vote of confidence to leader Jamkattel.

The Nepali Congress and the Nepal Workers Peasants Party voted against the vote of confidence proposal.

One hundred and 8 provincial lawmakers were present in the provincial assembly meeting today.
