Financial strengthening is the main basis of women’s empowerment: PM Dahal

March 29, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that being financially strong is the most important basis for women’s empowerment.

Prime Minister Prachanda said this while inaugurating the 7th International Women’s Business Fair organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs in Lalitpur on Friday.

The Prime Minister said, “Compared to the past, the condition of Nepali women is gradually getting stronger. But we cannot be satisfied with this progress. Therefore, everyone’s cooperation is needed for women’s empowerment.”

On the occasion, the Prime Minister informed that policies of tax exemptions and concessions have been implemented for the industries and businesses run by women and that such concessions would be increased in the future.
