Two youths killed in gang fight in Lalitpur

March 25, Kathmandu: Two youths died on Sunday night in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-26 Dholahiti.

Nareshraj Subedi, Spokesperson of District Police Lalitpur, informed that the youths were killed in a gang fight between two groups at 9:00 pm.

“After bringing the injured to the Patan hospital at 11 p.m., the police were informed. Immediately some people were arrested and interrogated at the scene. The cause of the incident is yet to be known”, he said.

Spokesman Subedi said that among the deceased are 28-year-old Rovas Rai, originally from Dharan in Sunsari district and currently living in Dholahiti, and 30-year-old Pujan Rai, originally from Panchthar district and currently residing in Khumaltar. The bodies have been kept at Patan and Sumeru Hospitals.

The police arrested 18 people last night on suspicion of being involved in the murders.
