UAE Embassy in Nepal hosts iftar reception

March 24, Kathmandu: The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) organized an iftar reception in Kathmandu on Saturday, marking the occasion of Ramadan with the theme “Sustainability is Work and Worship.”

The event, graced by Vice-President Ram Sahaya Yadav as the chief guest, was held in coordination with the Muslim Commission of Nepal.

The UAE Ambassador to Nepal, Abdulla Al Shamsi, welcomed the guests to the reception and informed them about the various initiatives launched by the UAE government to promote sustainability across the globe, including efforts to reduce carbon emissions, conserve natural resources, and encourage eco-friendly practices in everyday life.

The Chairperson of the Muslim Commission Samim Miya Ansari, said such receptions provided a platform for Nepal-UAE cooperation. He wished for cooperation between the two countries to increase in days to come.

The reception saw the participation of high-ranking government officials, diplomats, academicians, business people, journalists, and individuals from other walks of life.
