British Minister praises Lumbini Hospital, pledges more aid

February 19, Kathmandu: Andrew Mitchell, the British Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, visited the Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal of Rupandehi district on Monday and announced more financial support for the hospital’s maternal and child health and nutrition programs.

State Minister Mitchell praised the hospital’s health services and toured its facilities, including the OCMC, NICU, SNCU, PICU and Children’s Nutrition Rehabilitation Center.

He also discussed the hospital’s situation and the health sector of Lumbini province with Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, Health Secretary Raju Khanal, Mayor Khelraj Pandey and other officials.
