Two killed in jeep accident in Tanahun, identities ascertained

February 19, Kathmandu: The identity of the deceased, in Monday’s jeep accident in the inner road section of Ambukhaireni rural municipality-1 Giraunchor in Tanahun, has been ascertained.

According to the District Police Office, the deceased are 72-year-old Asbirr Gurung of Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-6 Chapswara and 17-year-old Tulsi Gurung of Byas Municipality-9 Gajoude.

Asbir died on the spot and during Tulsi’s treatment at New Medical College in Chitwan.

16 people were injured also in the accident. The police mentioned that the accident happened when the jeep went out of control and fell about 500 meters from the road. According to the police, the injured are being treated at the new medical college in Chitwan.
