NA Election: Voter turnout in Karnali Province 100 percent

January 26, Kathmandu: The Karnali Province has recorded 100 per cent voter turnout in the National Assembly election held on Thursday. All 40 Province Assembly members and 156 voters from local levels (rural municipality and municipality) voted in the NA election from Karnali Province.

Similarly, the voter turnout from Koshi Province Assembly members for the National Assembly election was 100 per cent. The Election Commission (EC) informed that there were 93 voters from the Koshi Province Assembly and all of them cast votes in the NA election.

However, from the local levels (rural municipality, municipality, sub-metropolis and metropolis), the voter turnout was 99.27 per cent. Similarly, in Madhes Province, the voter turnout from Province Assembly members was 99.07 per cent, while from local levels 100 per cent.

In Bagmati Province, the voter turnout from Province Assembly members was 98.18 per cent, while from the local levels, the voter turnout was 98.73 per cent. Moreover, Gandaki Province recorded 99.41 per cent voting, while Lumbini Province 99.8 per cent. A total of 98.68 per cent of voters attended the election in Sudurpaschim Province. Of 228 voters, 225 votes were cast.

The EC extended gratitude to all political parties, candidates, voters, employees, security personnel, media and all bodies concerned for conducting the election in a free, fair and fearless environment.
