Sapkota’s novel “Adiyeka Paila” unveiled

November 26, Kathmandu: Columnist Bishnu Sapkota’s novel, “Adiyeka Paila” was unveiled in a ceremony held at Nepal Academy’s premises in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The book was launched by Sapkota himself and renowned author Manjushree Thapa.

Thapa praised the novel for its depiction of a generation of intelligent youth and commended Sapkota for his beautiful work.

‘Adiyeka Paila’ is centred around the Tribhuvan University Campus in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. The characters in the novel are not just mere figments of imagination but carry an underlying political symbolism about them, adding a layer of depth to the narrative,” Thapa said.

Novelist Sapkota said he felt emotional as he bid farewell to the characters of the novel who have now entered the realm of readership from his mental picture.
