Maoist and Congress leaders discuss presidential election

February 20, Kathmandu: Top leaders of CPN (Maoist Centre) including Prime Minister and party Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” on Sunday met the top leaders of the Nepal Congress.

According to the Prime Minister’s secretariat, the two sets of leaders discussed contemporary issues including the election of the president and the implementation of the constitution.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel among other top leaders reached PM’s official residence to meet PM Prachanda.

Senior leader Poudel said they urged PM Dahal to support Nepali Congress’s candidate for the presidential election.

Meanwhile, CPN Maoist Centre has called for a meeting of the office bearers on Monday to discuss the presidential election.
