Three persons held with 14-kg silver
Kathmandu: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested three persons along with silver jewellery weighing 14.25 kg.
Those arrested were Indian nationals Aman Kumar, 22; Biki Kumar Saha, 26; and Shravan Prasad Kanu, 34, from Liparnibirta-6, Parsa, according to Hobindra Bogati, Superintendent of Police.
The jewellery was found hidden in an Indian vehicle (BR 06 U 9053) and kept in an auto workshop service in Sano Gaucharan, Kathmandu.
Those arrested were found involved in the sales and distribution of illegal jewellery to the Revenue Investigation Department.
The CIB had acted on a tip-off that a car with an Indian number plate was heading to Kathmandu from Lalitpur, which had carried silver jewellery.
They were arrested two days back.
