Marathon competition to be held in Rara

June 2, Rara: A marathon competition is to be held in Rara lake area of Mugu district on Saturday.

The Shreebox Company of Nepali Army, Rara Hutu and Chhayanath Rara Municipality are jointly organizing the third series of the Rara Marathon Competition.

Chief of Shreebox Company Dolraj Shrestha said that the event was expected to promote tourism in Rara lake and produce province-level and national-level athletes.

The runners in the marathon competition will run around the Rara lake, the largest lake in the country. The winner of the competition will receive 40,000 Rupees in cash and the first runner up and second runner up will get 30,000 Rupees and 20,000 Rupees each.
