PM Dahal entrusted with Home Ministry responsibility

Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has designated Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to also take charge of the responsibility of the Home Ministry.

President Bhandari designated PM Dahal the responsibility of the Home Ministry after Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane resigned from the post, the

Office of the President said.

Lamichhane resigned from the ministerial position on January 27 (Friday) in line with Article 77(2)(a) of the Nepal Constitution. Lamichhane, also the President of the Nepal Swatantra Party, was appointed the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister last December 26.
