HoR Deputy Speaker’s election today !

January 21, Kathmandu: The election of the Deputy Speaker is taking place on Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Rashtriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Indira Rana Magar on Friday registered her nomination for the election of the House of Representatives Deputy Speaker.    

Party lawmaker Sobita Gautam proposed the nomination of Rana Magar and CPN (UML)’s Krishna Gopal Shrestha, CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Narayani Sharma and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s Rajendra Prasad Lingden backed her nomination. 

Similarly, on behalf of the opposition alliance Nepali Congress lawmaker Mukta Kumari Yadav registered her nomination for the post of Deputy Speaker.     

Her nomination was proposed by Badri Pandey of NC and backed by Sarbendra Nath Shukla of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Metmani Chaudhary of CPN (Unified Socialist).
