England and France make it to quarter-finals

December 5, Kathmandu: France and England have made it to the quarter-finals in the FIFA World Cup, 2022 underway in Qatar.

In the first match played on Sunday, France defeated Poland 3-1. Kylian Mbappé scored two goals and Oliver Giroud one goal for France, meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski scored via penalty for Poland to make the final score 3-1.     

In the second round of 16 match played at Al Bayt Stadium of Qatar, England defeated Senegal 3-0 to reach to the group of eight.

Jordan Henderson scored the first goal for England in the 38th minute of the game. Likewise, Harry Kane doubled England’s lead in first-half stoppage-time.

Later, in the 57th minute of the game, Bukayo Saka netted the third goal as England won 3-0.

England would take on France in the quarter-finals.
