Qatar welcomes everyone for FIFA World Cup without prejudices: Emir Sheikh Tamim (audio report)

October 7, Kathmandu: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has said that Qatar welcomes the world for the FIFA World Cup 2022 . The FIFA World Cup 2022 is starting on November 20.  

Sheikh Tamim said Qatar had opened doors for all to enjoy football and the fantastic tournament atmosphere, in addition to witnessing the economic and cultural renaissance of the country.

He pointed out that Qatar took on the challenge of hosting the sporting event 12 years ago, which required absolute resolve, determination, planning, and hard work.

Sheikh Tamim explained that the Qatari people would receive everyone with open arms and without any discrimination.  

Sheikh Tamim said their duty was to overcome obstacles, extend a hand of friendship, build bridges of understanding, and celebrate humanity.

Sheikh Tamim’s remarks come as Qatar’s national team prepares for its first-ever FIFA World Cup.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Tamim shared a tweet from FIFA’s official account that encourages volunteering in the World Cup.

The tweet states that more than 20,000 volunteers are expected to sign up for the FIFA World Cup.

Sheikh Tamim commented on the tweet welcoming all the volunteers of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and said that their participation would be pivotal.
