Dengue cases across Nepal surpass 9,800

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 9 thousand 8 hundred and 35 dengue cases across Nepal since mid-July this year.

The Health Ministry said Bagmati Province alone has reported more than 7 thousand dengue cases. Lumbini province and Province 1 have recorded each 1 thousand 3 hundred dengue cases while Gandaki Province has 2 hundred cases, Madhes Province has 1 hundred and 80 cases and Karnali Province has 66 cases of dengue.

The Ministry added that a ‘search and destroy’ campaign has been launched in 60 districts to contain the dengue infection.
