Parliamentary Committee directs government to formulate policy to prevent human trafficking

Kathmandu: The Women and Social Committee of the Federal Parliament has directed the government to formulate a policy to prevent human trafficking.

During a meeting of the Committee held at Sinhadarbar on Sunday, it instructed the government to bring a policy saying that human trafficking could not be prevented due to a lack of concrete policy.

The committee also directed the concerned authorities to keep updated records of women and children before they migrate and go abroad as they are the most vulnerable groups to human trafficking.
