Home Minister Khand stresses for proper utilization of budget allocated for disaster management

Kathmandu: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has stressed the need for proper utilization of the budget allocated for disaster management. 

Addressing a meeting of the National Disaster Risk Mitigation and Management Executive Committee at Singha Durbar on Friday, Home Minister Khand said the government wanted result-oriented efforts in disaster management.

The Home Minister also shared the government’s plan to seek a leading role of the respective local governments in disaster management and lending technical support from the center.
