Pakistan’s flood-affected areas see increase in water-borne diseases

September 2, Kathmandu: Health officials in Pakistan have said that there is an outbreak of water-borne diseases due to severe floods in the past few weeks.

Al Jazeera reported that more than 90,000 diarrhoea patients were found in the most-affected Sindh province.

1,200 people have died and more than 33 million have been displaced due to monsoon rain and floods in Pakistan.
